Woven into many of our segments are links to the "Only Hearts" art/peace project as a way of introducing our readers to the vision, thoughts, and artistry of young people who have much to say about peace in the world . . . beginning in their communities. by David Gittens, creator of "Only Hearts," in the
General Assembly of the United Nations for their 50th anniversary
celebration. Fabric designer Mie Sato created the background
tapestry. UNICEF, NASA, the New York City Metropolitan Transit
Authority, and New York City area businesses were sponsors. The
theme articulated the gifts of children around the world. |
