For a number of years I've focused on the production of this publication. Here I'll introduce you to the sound of my 23-string Dwij Veena, a guitar based instrument I created and built. Gratitude: Six minute movie honoring the vernal equinox of 2010 with Stephanie Heidemann, Julian Douglas, and Linda Maree. Awaken Tiamat: Eight minute movie honoring the Summer Solstice with Stephanie Heidemann, Julian Douglas, and Linda Maree. Origins: A winter solstice 2008 visual/musical creation with guitarist Gary Nebel. Origins Threshold: A twenty-one minute spring equinox 2009 creation accompanied by Cybele on Sarangi and vocals, and Gopi Chari on Tanpura and vocal: Threshold Gratitude 09: A ten minute musical/visual summer solstice 2009 creation. Gopi Chari-vocal, David Courtney- Tabla, Linda Maree-Tanpura: Gratitude Amar.Utu: Celebrating the autumn equinox 2009; accompanied by musicians Stephanie Heidemann, Julian Douglas, and Linda Maree: Amar.Utu Rebirth, Celebrating the 2009 winter solstice and new decade; accompanied by musicians Stephanie Heidemann, Julian Douglas, and Linda Maree: Rebirth Talisman, a CD, an honoring of the first year of an infant's life on Space Ship Earth, is created for meditation, visualization, and relaxation. Four compositions are woven into the sounds of nature with an introduction to each by writer Linda Maree. The concept of Talisman grew out of our bimonthly meditation and Tibetan Bowling Circle, facilitated by Rev. Jacquie Riker, and the encouragement of pianist/composer Jeff Lantz.
