Stephanie
Heidemann
is a gifted soprano and composer who
has been performing internationally and in the United States since
1994; sharing a passion for World and Sacred Music as her
artistic tapestry. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she has
a B.A. in Expressive Arts Therapy from Indiana University
and teaches a workshop series entitled "Authentic Voicework"
in Sarasota, Florida.
For seven years, Stephanie
toured nationally with the robust World Music acappella quartet,
“VIDA.” Managed by IMG-Artists, they toured the
U.S. extensively, gaining national attention from Industry
Press such as Billboard Magazine following performances at
UCLA's Royce Hall, Rockefeller Center in NYC, and at Lincoln Center.
Stephanie performs with her
own group, SEPHIROTH, in which she brings a soulful blend
of 13-15th century Spanish music, haunting Sephardi ballads,
chants of Hildegard von Bingen and her own original fusion
pieces. Stephanie brings Sacred Music into new settings that
give new life and light to them.
Stephanie's CD, The Cantiga Project, has received national
acclaim on National Public Radio's "All Songs Considered"
and from the nationally distributed new age publication Sounds
True. It features ancient devotional Spanish music that is
in devotion to the Divine Mother.
